or 866-275-2267. You may also want to check with your local library
to see if they carry the Official ABMS Directory of Board Certified
Medical Specialists.
- Does the surgeon have privileges to perform breast augmentation at
an accredited hospital? Though some 53% of cosmetic surgeries are not
performed in a hospital, privileges to perform surgery there indicate
that the doctor is qualified and has the necessary training to be accepted
by that hospital.
- Does the surgeon have any special training in breast augmentation
surgery?
- Is breast augmentation surgery a major part of the surgeon's practice?
- How many breast augmentation surgeries does the surgeon perform per
year?
- For how many years has the surgeon been performing breast augmentation
surgery?
- In which state(s) is the surgeon licensed to practice surgery?
